Robotic Surgery: Emerging Technologies

Posted by Roger Smith, PhD on Jan 24, 2019 10:47:16 AM

Thank you for joining us for our first webinar entitled Surgical Robots: Emerging Technologies. This presentation was a short summary of the research into new robotic devices that we have been conducting for the last year. You will see that we:

  • Identified 67 companies that are creating robotic systems for surgical applications,
  • Mapped out the countries where these robots are being developed
  • Created 4 general categories that help explain what all of these devices can do
  • Speculated on the future software ecosystem for these devices.

If you missed our webinar, or if you would like to see the video again we have provided it below:

That was quite a lot of original material for a thirty minute session followed by a question and answer session. We have many other topics for our future webinars in this series. Comment below with topics that you would be interested in learning more about.
