Nicholson Center Surgical Video Game

Is it possible to provide intraoperative team training with no team actually present? We developed a video game designed to help surgeons with their decision making and medical skills in an operating room setting, and we’ve put together an exclusive sneak peek before the game is officially released. This surgeon simulator is a new level of surgery games that hasn't been tapped yet.

We created this game to break the mold of traditional, staged operating room team-training. The team-training video game is the first of its kind, testing surgeons in high-stress situations they wouldn’t experience with prior forms of training, incorporating communication, performance under pressure, understanding dynamics of teamwork and multi-tasking. As the third component in our Fundamentals of Robotic Surgery (FRS) program, behind the FRS dome (featured in a previous blog post) and the online curriculum, the game will add to our comprehensive training product line and will change the future of surgical training.

A game this legendary needs a name to match. If you have a great idea to help us name the game, share it with us on social media!  Follow our Facebook, Twitter  and LinkedIn pages to reach our contest and receive updates about the game’s progress.
